To rust proof or not rust proof?

Any thoughts on Rust-proofing. I know Lexus has rust penetration warranty but for years I've been sold on Krown Auto Rust-proofing but Lexus warned me not to have it done. I don't inderstand why not. Road salt is a bodywork killer and I for one want to defend against it. This is the first NEW car I've purchased. Should I worry?

Lexus told me that the rust warranty is void if you do rust proofing

Problem with rust proofing is that if they don't know what they are doing the drain holes could be plugged up and retain water making it worse.

Make sure to go to those self wash places with a high pressure hose and spray the wheel wells and underbody once in a while.

I'm in the damp north east of England. We use salt on the roads in winter, and are about 8 miles from the sea. I have a 9 year Lexus GS 300 and it's bodywork is perfect.
