 Lexus CT 200h World Preview Tour in the United States |

For those of you that share this author's disappointment that the Lexus Darker Side of Green Debate / Cocktail Receptions feature not an actual CT 200h but an abstract (though cool-looking) piece of art titled CT Umbra in its place, fear not, for the real thing will follow soon enough. After its earlier stop in Canada, the Lexus CT 200h World Preview Tour will proceed southward to the United States.
As of this writing, limited information is available, but here's what we know so far, and please keep an eye on this story for subsequent updates and expanded information as they become available:

Lexus revealed, on a dedicated Facebook page that you can be among the first in the world to experience the new CT 200h prototype at a location near you. This is a true insider experience: you’ll be able to see the vehicle, drive it and, most importantly, share your opinion on the still-in-development prototype with our engineers and designers. Attend an event to explore the CT 200h in a sophisticated virtual setting, learn about the Lexus brand, test drive the prototype vehicle and more. Become part of the inside story of this brand-new Lexus!
Given the nature of the two currently announced venues, this tour has the makings of being similar to previous Scion launches where the car is driven around the block in the vicinity of a hip boutique with an event employee riding shotgun. You must be 18 or over with a valid Driver’s License to drive.
And, for the terminally curious (like yours truly), the CT 200h World Preview Tour will depart for Australia after its final U.S. stops in Southern California and, from there, may proceed to Japan.

The Lexus CT 200h World Preview Tour launches in Canada |

To date, four Lexus CT 200h prototypes have been spotted out and about in Europe: the Smoky Granite Mica and Brown Spice Mica cars that were sampled by select European journalists afforded test rides in the vicinity of Toyota/Lexus Europe headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, plus Starfire Pearl and Obsidian (black) photo cars. Soon, however, their ranks will be joined by two additional pre-production prototypes that will embark on a World Preview Tour that begins in Toronto, Canada on Friday 27 August continuing on Saturday 28 August and concluding on Sunday 29 August. As of this writing, the precise location and hours remains undisclosed, but we'll be sure to update this article as soon as we obtain it.
As a dedicated page on the official Lexus Canada website informs us, you will be among the first in Canada to preview the sporty CT 200h prototype up close when it makes its only Canadian debut in Toronto.
The CT will be displayed to the public in a sophisticated virtual setting, where you’ll have an opportunity to explore and interact with the newest addition to the Lexus vehicle lineup. You’ll get a first hand look at two prototypes still in development and the opportunity to share your thoughts with Lexus engineers and designers.
Join us at this advanced preview (no appointment necessary) and become part of the inside story of this exciting new model, which arrives in dealerships early next year.

Fox Marketing to Transform CT200h, LS600h into Turbocharged Show Cars |

There are a few names in the aftermarket industry known for building impressive show vehicles and one of the best-known is Fox Marketing. With a long-standing partnership with Lexus that has seen Fox Marketing develop two IS models for the SEMA Show over the past two years, we took company founder Brian Fox seriously when he announced plans on Facebook to build a custom CT200h and LS600h.
Fox has been partnering with Lexus since they first decided to showcase their cars at SEMA, helping the brand develop more appeal with a younger demographic. Lexus, in turn, did its part by delivering an F Sport line of performance goodies.
In a followup email with Brian Fox he confirmed that his company will build both models, starting with a twin-turbo LS600h – likely for this year's SEMA Show. As for the CT200h (which we have to admit we're more excited for), Fox is planning to roll out a turbocharged and widebody version of the luxury hatchback for next year's New York Auto Show. Fox says he intends to take his time with the CT, so he can, "really kill it with this car."
And if we know anything about Fox Marketing, expect some big wheels, custom interior and a brilliant paint job.
